Jag, Mats, blir intervjuad av Ghazala
Khan från "The Pakistani Spectator"
Would you please tell us something about you
and your site?
My mission statement is
“to be a difference- maker in peoples’ lives
and in the development of organizations”. This
means that I just love to see people and
organizations grow beyond their imagination.
And that’s what my blog site is about; I hope
that ordinary people and executives can visit
it on a regular basis in order to be inspired
about their growth.
My webpage
www.offerlind.se
shows all the other tools
I have to help people and organizations to
grow.
Do you feel that you continue to grow in
your writing the longer you write? Why is that
important to you?
Absolutely yes! It’s
important because my message will be even
better and hopefully suit a wider range of
people, which means I can help more of
them.
I'm wondering what some of your memorable
experiences are with blogging?
The first was when my
blog quite suddenly passed 1,000 readers. Very
close to that was all the positive comments I
received and the fact that most encouraged me
to continue my work.
What do you do in order to keep up your
communication with other bloggers?
In general by
following up the comments made by
people.
What do you think is the most exciting or
most innovative use of technology in politics
right now?
It must be the
internet including blog sites.
Do you think that these new technologies are
effective in making people more responsive?
For those who have
access to the internet - yes.
What do you think sets Your site apart from
others?
First of all I
evaluate very carefully to ensure that what I
write is of great value to the readers. My site
gives value for free without expecting anything
back.
If you could choose one characteristic you
have that brought you success in life, what
would it be?
Honesty
What was the happiest and gloomiest moment
of your life?
Together with marriage
to my wonderful wife Tina and the birth of my
children, it was when I realized my mission in
life which is: To strive for a world that works
for everyone and to make a difference in
peoples’ lives.
The gloomiest was when my father died suddenly
when I was just sixteen years old.
If you could pick a travel destination,
anywhere in the world, with no worries about
how it’s paid for - what would your top 3
choices be?
Australia, Cambodia
and Ireland.
What is your favorite book and why?
‘How to Make Friends
and Influence People’ by Dale Carnegie.
It describes so simply how you can influence
people to change from negative to
positive, purely by treating them with respect
and honesty.
What’s the first thing you notice about a
person (whether you know them or not)?
If I meet them, it´s
their eyes (the mirror of the soul). If I can’t
can see them I try to figure out how they treat
vulnerable people (children, the elderly and
weak people.),
Is there anyone from your past that once
told you you couldn't write?
Yes, my teacher in
school told me that my spelling was not
good.
How bloggers can benefit from blogs
financially?
I don’t have any
experience myself, but I’m sure there probably
are ways.
Is it true that who has a successful blog
has an awful lot of time on their hands?
If you write from your
heart and you feel it’s your mission, you don´t
need to push yourself in order to produce text.
I have so far created 150 blogs within the last
14 months without any problem
whatsoever.
What role can bloggers of the world play to
make this world more friendlier and less
hostile?
First of all they need
to have a mindset and attitude that makes them
friendly rather than hostile in their own daily
lives. Then they can tell the world, for
instance through a blog, that they too have a
role to play.
Who are your top five favourite
bloggers?
My personal
inspirator: Zig Ziglar accept for that no
specific ones. I read blogs that are written
with the purpose of giving people of the world
clues as to how we can act in order to get our
mutual world to work for all of us.
Unfortunately, I haven’t found many of these
types of blog out there!
Is there one observation or column or post
that has gotten the most powerful reaction from
people?
My two blog texts:
“The Most Important Person in Your Life” and
“Personal
Development: Your Dream is Waiting For You!”
Both posted just a few month ago.
What is your perception about Pakistan and
its people?
Unfortunately I don’t
have much experience of either the country or
the people and I only evaluate things and
people upon my own experiences.
Have you ever become stunned by the
uniqueness of any blogger?
So far – I’ve not really
been stunned. Of course there are many bloggers
who have unique content in their blogs, but
they don’t tend to update them very often. To
me, one of the first criteria for being unique
is have a blog that’s updated on a regular
basis.
What is the most striking difference between
a developed country and a developing
country?
Developed countries
have already explored and exploited all the
available natural resources and used them to
the point that we are destroying our own
world!
Developing countries are doing all in their
power to become developed countries, and
if/when they do they inevitably do the same,
contributing to the destruction of Planet
Earth.
What is the future of blogging?
Today, in my opinion,
most of the blogging is just a way of
expressing things and feelings that stress you,
and these kind of blogs I believe will
decrease.
Blogs that have content which is of use and
value for the readers will, I think,
increase.
You have also got a blogging life, how has
it directly affected both your personal and
professional life?
Actually not much,
because the things I write about are constantly
rotating in my mind anyway. The only difference
is that I can allow others, if they want to, to
also read and make use of the information in
their everyday lives.
What are your future plans?
I will continue my
blogging, but also develop my project “The Game
of Life and How to Win it”. This is a ‘toolbox’
and the tools describe how you can take control
in your own life and thus become a winner in
your own “game of life” (you can find more
information on www.offerlind.se)
Any Message you want to give to the readers
of The Pakistani Spectator?
Be sure that you give
yourself the best opportunity you can to gain
control over your own life. This is the basis
for all human beings to be able to live a life
in peace and harmony with themselves and the
rest of the world.
Please don’t forget
that all human beings, in one way or another,
are connected to each other. We need to
co-operate and help each other in order to get
the best out of our lives. There is a place for
every human being on earth.
Finally: Peace and
Love are direct opposites to Fear.
